CARCASE Kill Line & Livestock System

Control livestock intake, slaughter and reporting in one system

CARCASE is specialist meat processing software designed for abattoirs and meat processors to manage livestock, kill line activity and regulatory reporting. From animal booking and lairage scanning through grading, inspection and payments, the system records accurate data in real time while reducing paperwork and administration.

By connecting operators, inspectors and office teams, CARCASE provides full visibility of animal movements and processing activity, improving compliance, efficiency and confidence across the operation.

Purpose-built meat processing software

CARCASE manages the slaughter process from intake to reporting within one connected platform.

Animal identification is captured at arrival and follows each carcass through the kill line. Operators record grading, stunning and inspection data while the system automatically builds the regulatory record required for compliance.

Because information is collected as work happens, managers gain immediate visibility of throughput and operational performance, while office teams no longer need to manually compile reports or payment documentation.

What does it mean for you?

Regulatory compliance

Automatically generate ARAMS and BCMS movement reporting directly from kill line activity, creating accurate and auditable records without manual preparation.

Accurate livestock traceability

RFID and eartag scanning links each animal to its grading and inspection data, providing a complete processing history.

Reduced paperwork and admin

Processing and office teams share the same live data, removing duplicate entry and manual reconciliation of kill records.

Operational visibility and control

Live monitoring of kill line activity helps supervisors manage throughput and quickly identify issues during production.

ARAMS Export

The ARAMS Export is a web application that supports abattoirs in reporting sheep movements to the Animal Reporting and Movement Service (ARAMS) in England.

Livestock Lairage Scanning

Automates control of Livestock reception, interfacing with the eartag terminal, black box and LPP application.

CTS Web Service

Designed to meet the requirements of the new on-line BCMS interface. The BCMS off holding and slaughter movement files may be automatically sent to the BCMS.

Eartag Terminal

Allows scanning of cattle passports prior to kill, compiles and transmits data to the Black Box, improving efficiency of data entry at the grading station.

Livestock Payment System

A dynamic livestock procurement and payment system. Reduces complex animal payments and tracking time dramatically.

CCS - Kill Line Management

2nd gen of the famous MLC “Black box” features an advanced colour LCD display and huge storage, as well as performance and ease of use improvements.

Stun Monitor

Designed in conjunction with the MLC, the Stun Monitor is designed to help stun equipment operatives achieve legal requirements for current and stun duration.

Vet Terminal

Record multiple animal health conditions that are observed on the kill line. These are then placed into a database held on a local PC or networked fileserver.

Case study: Pork & poultry manufacturer

A major UK pork and poultry producer operating multiple production sites required better control of processing activity, traceability and reporting across a fast-moving meat production environment. Manual processes risked bottlenecks and made it harder to maintain consistent operational performance.

Hellenic implemented an integrated processing platform supporting intake, batch tracking and real-time production recording, giving the business clearer operational oversight and more reliable reporting.

FAQs

Does CARCASE handle movement reporting automatically?

Yes. The system generates and submits ARAMS sheep and BCMS cattle reporting directly from recorded processing data.

Animals are scanned using RFID or eartag identification at intake and followed throughout the slaughter process, ensuring full traceability.

Yes. Veterinary observations and grading details are recorded directly during processing and stored permanently.

Livestock payments are automatically calculated using grading and processing results, reducing manual administration.

Managers can monitor kill line throughput, performance and compliance status in real time.
